Lòbèy is the major sponsor of Fondation Bienfaisance. Lòbèy has committed resources; material, financial and human to the success of this great endeavor undertaken to improve the welfare and health of the less fortunate. Proceeds from the sale of paintings and other artworks are donated to Fondation Bienfaisance to fund the acquisition of medical supplies and the operating budgets of the health centers.
Proceeds from sales of art also provide food and shelter to entire families and help many husbands and wives assume their roles as breadwinners. This important role constitutes the cornerstone of family stability and community welfare.
As years go by, focus changes with new realities and challenges. These new realities and challenges require innovative ways and updated approaches to community service.
Assistance to the artistic community has also taken new dimensions and reached new heights with the Lobey-Bienfaisance Art Award . Every year, the Lobey-Bienfaisance Art Award sponsors visit and art exhibitions in the United States and Canada for Haitian artists.
