As Rwanda seeks to transform its education sector, Automated Systems Consulting Inc. (ASC) is joining the initiative to promote technology in classrooms. ASC, a member of the Haiti Rwanda Initiative (HRI), introduced this month the Promethean ActivPanel to Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology in Kigali, Rwanda, an all-Girl elite STEM school educating some of the brightest young minds in this Eastern African country. The new project aims to offer students more interactive and engaging tools for learning and promoting collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
This brings us to the sixth Edition of The Haiti-Rwanda Initiative, launched this month of February 2023 with the focus on a Pilot Project in Education Technology (EdTech) in collaboration with Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology, an all-girl elite STEM school in Kigali. ASC’s tech team deployed 4 Promethean ActivPanels, a state-of-the-art touchscreen display that combines multi-touch interactivity, high-quality visuals, and powerful software to create immersive and interactive learning environments in Gashora classrooms. The technology enables teachers to deliver dynamic lessons and engage students of all learning styles, from visual to kinesthetic, to auditory.
ASC CEO Andy Numa said the technology would have a significant impact on the quality of education and learning outcomes of the students. By providing students with immersive digital environments, the ActivPanel offers an innovative and engaging way for students to explore, discover, and create, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
